About SkyTics
In December of 2011 Patricia Clay assumed the role of CEO of SkyTics and acquired majority ownership making it a woman owned company.
In 2010 Patricia joined the executive team as Vice President of Marketing, transitioning from her previous role as an independent media and PR consultant.
Patricia is no stranger to corporate management as she was head of Russell Corporation’s Corporate Communications Department where she managed over 70 people. After leaving Russell, she worked for Tec-Masters Inc,
in all aspects of video production, marketing and PR, as well as writing and managing RFPs and contracts. Some of her clients
included NASA, the US Space and Strategic Defense Command, The US Army and the Army Corps of Engineers, and FEMA. Patricia managerd an independent video production business the five years prior to joining SkyTics.
Bob Clay, the company founder and CTO, has over 25 years of experience in computing and networking. Bob worked for IBM as a DBA while in college, and after graduation accepted a position with Boeing Computer Services
where he worked for seven years on NASA and DOD contracts designing and implementing software systems and multi-protocol communication networks. In 1995 Bob went to work for Cisco Systems where he held
multiple positions over the next 13 years, the last of which was Senior Business Development Manager in Cisco's Technology Center. In 2008 he left Cisco and with a fellow Cisco
colleague formed a research company, Technology Intelligence Group. As COO he was responsible for all technical systems,
contractor management, and financial systems and he implemented and managed Ubuntu server deployments in Amazon's cloud computing environment EC2. Bob decided to harvest the cloud knowledge gained in constructing TechIntel and went out on his own
in early 2009 and formed a new software company SameSky Tickets, which starting doing business as SkyTics in January of 2011. In the late fall of 2011 Bob realized that his passion lay more in the technical realm and now functions as CTO of SkyTics and
drives the strategic vision and day to day execution of product development.
